I'll be adding information and a picture to my first post here, as and when we learn more about them. I'll fill in the information later too. For now: Can I ask how you are keeping yours please? Mine are in a slender cylindrical tank, quite high, at between 26 and 30 oC. Some have climbed up and down the tank side and the moss that I have trailing down, though most of the time they keep to the bottom of the tank. So far I have offered various salad leaves, cucumber, carrot and sweet potato. They have only eaten the sweet potato, carrot and nibbled the red lettuce leaf. It would seem they like the carrot best of all so far. I've been keeping the humidity quite high as Turantulabarn has mentioned they appear to like it humid, and his have bred, so I am trying to emulate the conditions that he has been keeping his at. If anyone would like to share their findings here that would be great. I will also be posting a link to a webpage on them, and when there's enough information I will turn this first post into a care-sheet. thank you

i have 3 also from turantulabarn. -mine are in a little plastic tank untill i can figure out more about how they like to be kept. t they are kept at about 22-24 degrees its not very humid though as lid is typical of plastic tanks with lots of vents, been thinking of placing cling film over top . none have climbed the tank. -i have given them a base substarte of coir then half the tank has moss cover which they seem to stay on and only come off to feed. -as for food they are eating a little lettuce and i mine a tiny pice i put an inch square in and only a few holes. haven't touched the sweet potatoes so opposit to yours but are munching cucumber. i no not much help but its just what ive found they are always out of there shell and not retracted so i suppose they are ok with the conditions so don't no about the cling film on the top help the humidity? 2 of my 3 have eggs inside too so would like to give themgood care so they can hatch the babies well

This is interesting - one keeper of this species has noticed eggs that have been laid, and then babies. Could it be that these snails have a choice to either hatch them inside and give birth, or to lay their eggs for the babies to hatch later? Since having these I've noticed that mine (I can't speak for anyone else's) usually hug the ground, but at any one time there are usually one or two having a climb around up the glass sides and the lid. My babies appear to like fresh cucumber or very spoiled unrecognisible vegetation. The adults go for cucumber, carrot, sweet potato, sweetcorn and some mushy old stuff too. Picture of some of the babies from my adults, not very good I'm afraid. I went to remove the old mush only to find 5 babies attached to it, so I took photos and put it all back

That`s me she`s talking about by the way lol I came back from honeymoon to find my octona tub full of nice white furry mould, lovely ! But as A.snail says, they love it ! lol Here`s a picture of an adult, baby and one of the eggs.... I`m thinking they can lay eggs or birth live young depending on external stimuli, temperature or weather maybe.....

i found the eggs dropped and was very disheartened left them in the tank as didn't want to believe it had happened as persumed they were live bearers not thinking they would hatch. yesterday went to remove the mushy unrecognisable cucumber they seem to love and babies !!. does look like they choose wether they hatch internally or externally. so pleased at the little ones. also added the cling film keep more humidity in and must have condition right for them as not only have babies arrived but one has eggs in ternally too. i have found mine like corgette, bit of lettuce and swwet potato, but ther favourite does seem to be cucumber in fresh or mush rotting form, strange creatures

One of mine laid a small batch of eggs, around 5 eggs I think, in the soil next to the glass side, very considerate of the snail because I have a great view of the clutch. Anyway the laid last night, and I'll be counting how many days it takes for them to hatch. This wouldn't be definitive I know, various conditions such temperature and how lomng the eggs have developed within the snail before they were laid has a factor on hatching times.
