Hmmh. You could try to make mix of different substrates to get even substrate that don't dry out too quickly and easier to maintain moisture in it.
I like to use peat, but I may start to use in it too some soil I'm going to put some cleaner worms in new terrarium and I read they digestion better if they get substrate that has little soil in it too. I have to use that kind of soil that has been first in plant pots so there is no fertilization in them. In my country you can't almost anywhere get any fertilization free soil.
So I have to use peat most and all of the time. Soil it little bit too sandy to my taste after every cleaning time sand is literally everywhere. But I'm willing to add little used soil so cleaner worms will be happy. :/

Hi Thanks for your help i have mixed it with some coir and it seem to hold the moisture a little better, I am thinking of building a new viv i think alot of the moisture is being soaked into the backing board Thanks again. :-)
