I didn't want to buy anything special for snails but wanted to try something new out of what I had all ready at home. So I soon give this for my snails: 15% Grated courgette 15% Nectarine purée 60% Lentils (soaked in hot water about 2hours and cooked soften just in case..) 5% Grated potato 5% Soaked Iguana pellets. I have to see do my waste mills like about it. =D Someday I wanna make homemade fish food. It's just basically fish, shrimp, peas and beans.. I make paste out of them and see what they like about it. I do it soon as I find some fresh peas and beans from market. Those are the hardest to find fresh sometimes can't use canned ones for snails.

Mine like snail crumb. If it's the same as I have you add water to it and let is soak till it looks a bit like porridge. I put all sorts of ground seeds in and they love it. All he will tell me is it is made from a selection of benificial grains that snails love the only one he will tell me is hemp which my snails love, I will order some now when i get it and try it i will let you know what it is like. x

Sorry Jo i read your post all wrong, It is all kinds of nuts, seeds and grain i make it up with hot water it swells quicker I have found making it up with cold water it swells slower so you end up with a real dry mixture about an hour after feeding, I feed at night just before bed so wouldnt know till the next day, I noticed the other day when i fed earlier that mine also spend ages drinking the water that sits on top they get a dish of water but that must taste better than normal water. x
