The Tetra tablets sound like you're best off not giving them, there's stuff in there that snails don't need and they get a lot of protein from the bugs and shrimp anyway, so they'll be fine. The var, uh, I think it means variation....? I'm no biologist but for example with Margies, there's Archachatina marginata var. Suturalis and var. Ovum. They have little differences but they are able to breed with each other. Yes Gaius is a gentle giant. I don't know the answer to your eccecc question. Tiger snails are on average the biggest snails of all, but they are extremely lazy and extremely nocturnal. There are some Margie individuals who grow to the same size as the big tigers. Don't get me wrong, I adore my Gaius to bits, but my Margies get up much earlier and generally do hilarious stuff in the tank, while Gaius is mostly concerned with resting, eating and bathing. So if you want a huge funny snail that you actually see awake a lot, go for a Margie. Albinos have the potential to be as big as anyone else, but some individuals want their tank a bit warmer. Also many albino bloodlines are heavily in-bred, which weakens the snails.

Lol, I love the ones who don't even get up every night because they can't be bothered to. Their lives must be so nice, they're big fat snails who don't fear me, just soooo lazy haha.
There's often someone wide awake in my fulica tank regardless of the hour, so if I'm home I have someone keeping an eye on me, lol.
