I see what you mean, how his bidy is bulging a bit over his shell-lip. I've not known mites to cause this reaction, but it wise to be cautious and it's hard to know for sure. I still think it's more likely a food reaction. I'm glad his swelling is going down. Has he managed to poo do you know?

I have been watching for it and no he has not pood, and his slime around his mantel is yellowy, does seem more and more like that wretched nectarine does'nt it!

the only thing i can think of is try giving him lots of baths to help flush out whatever it is.

thanks rachel i have and will continue to bathe him, he is at least stable, last night i thought he was a gonner all limp and swollen, still has not had a poo though! i really hope he gets better thankyou all
