I would recommend them for sure, they are very beautiful snails (The pair on my signature are my old pair) and yes they d rasp hard but not hard enough to draw blood. I found them easy to keep and they were not fussy eaters at all. I'm still on the hunt for a pair again

A baby Immac seriously tried to eat me the other day! In the middle of that, he managed to get an arm hair of mine into his tiny mouth and pull at it, and that actually hurt. I was laughing pretty hard though. I find Immacs are very active and physically strong snails with a lot of character. They require more heat and protein than my other snails to stay happy, but they are lovely (and produce tons of eggs). A shame I don't have two-tones either.

I came here to mention that it looks like I have a two-tone baby in my tank after a slightly failed egg check some time ago. I don't know how that's humanly/snailularly possible. His shell is growing a little bit badly (I need to check the tank temperature, it's caused shell problems in my Immacs before), so I waited for him to get a bit bigger and stronger before announcing it. Could I just have had the mutation occur in my tank, or did Zorst 's Immacs (which she gave to me) have two-tone genes in them? I might have to let them breed more in case I get more of these strange colours. Anyway, meet Lipsanen: (Click for big version, sorry it's blurry)

Thanks Jo! He nibbled on me at first, but then had his soft snaily lips all that way when sitting on my finger.
