Your Mavis sure is one lovely big Snail, I have a herd of Margie's affectionately known as the bulldozers and their offspring the baby bulldozers, I often post about their entertaining adventures on the Pet Snail forum. Cliath your Baby bulldozers are growing well and fingers crossed will be heading your way in the next couple of weeks. I just want to make sure the frosts have gone, and that the forecast snow and wintery showers doesn't hit us early next week. Fingers crossed we've gone 4 nights now without a frost. I'll keep you posted on that one. It's so great to see this forum back active again, and I'm really looking forwards to reading and posting on here. This is an older photo of the baby bulldozers they've grown quite a bit since. Zorst

Mavis is lovely spook. And don't tell my other species but margies are my favourites too. As you say they're soooo chunky i also love their very varied personalities, Loki always was very friendly but a trouble maker and fenrir less so, i took both to a celebrate science event figuring people could see fenrir (as my largest at the time) but hold Loki. What happened? Loki refused to be held by anyone except me and just retracted and hissed when given to anyone else, and fenrir was a right attention seeker and slimed happily over everyone.
The suts always try and escape when the lid is off (and have done a runner when i left it off by accident once and i eventually found jormungand sleeping in the top corner of a cabinet). whereas the candefacta are more reserved, i left the lid off by accident once came back and panicked - found a couple of slime trails that went part way up the wall turned around and came back down again, i did a head count and everyone was still in the tank. Obviously they made a break for freedom then went "neh it's dry, cold and there's no food out here lets go back".
