Hi all, and happy 2019!
I have been absent for maybe six months. Life got really crazy and so many things have changed for me. Though one thing that has not changed is my love for snails, and I'm so sorry I've not been able to log on here to share it with you and also help out those who need advice.
For some sad news, my dearest little gentle-snail Mauno passed away the same day I was at a distant relative's funeral. I have to say I cried much harder over Mauno. Judging from the way his little body looked as I removed it from the shell, he may have had a snaily version of cancer. He will always hold a very, very special place in my heart, and his shell will remain on view in my shelf where I keep the shells of my favourite snails who have gone to the place where snails go.
For happier news, I accidentally bred some fully albino Archachatina marginata snails when my leucistic ones had eggs and I allowed a few to hatch. They are huge and healthy.
One of the things I will be doing in 2019 is focus more on the things I truly love, and returning here is a part of that.
Hope everyone is all right, and I'm looking forward to hearing about your snails too.

I am so sorry to hear about mauno hunni, he was a special little snail. I would have been more upset over losing him too. I am so glad you are back sweetie and I hope life has improved greatly for you.

Sorry to hear about the passing of your snail and relative. Truthfully though, the forum has been pretty dead as of late, so there's not much you missed. 😶

Thanks Jo. I guess many things are better. Most of all things are very different. Funny how that goes sometimes.
And thanks GTS too - yeah, I saw that there are not very many new threads. I guess I should maybe start some.

Hi etana,
I am sorry to hear such bad news... Now I understand why you weren't active either on PetSnails forum ofcourse for the past few months! Anyways, good to have you back with your GALS experience and all. Hopefully you can take a peek at the topic I created at the other forum about my Ovum.
Ofcourse when you have the time.
Regards, Michel

Hi all,
Yeah, maybe you guessed it already, the difficulties didn't end in January. Anyway, right now I'm more determined than I have been in a long time to focus on my snails. I hope we can revive this board.
Hugs to everyone.

I broke my shoulder last year but it is still very painful. nice to see you back sweetie. snailies are all fine.

I'm so sorry to hear it Jo, it hurts so much when it's the ones closest to us doing it. You deserve better, but I know changing things around or leaving is not so easy either. I hope things will get better for you.
Glad to hear the snails are fine. Tell them I said hello.
