I have used coir and a bit of moss, then switched to only coir, then back to coir and moss and finally have decided to use only moss...for now! The snails seem to like it in the summer, maybe it has something to do with the heat and humidity. It is easier to find the tiger one in moss than in coir!!

I use coir, you can't beat it in my opinion, and I have some live moss in there, I bought some moss carpet from www.dartfrog.co.uk, the snails love it and treat it like a big blanket to sleep under.

sorry, I should have been more specific - it's on this page www.dartfrog.co.uk/equipment/landscape.htmlIt's the one that's just described as "Moss A nice lush matting of green moss 40 x 20 cm. " It's a live moss carpet that grows in the terrarium, I have 2 mossy areas and some bare patches to enable burrowing.

Thanks, fantastic. I think I will be able to get that here easy at Christmas, as it's sold for making nativity scenes.
