Hi, Can anyone recommend the sort of thing I should be giving my day old fuli's. My big ones will eat most things I give them. I have also read somewhere about giving snails fish food flakes. Do you just add it to their mix or will they eat it as it is. Ta

They can eat the same as the adults, though may struggle with the outer skin of some things, e.g. they love sweetcorn but the tiny babies often don't/can't rasp through the skin, so I chop each corn niblet in half for them. Fish flakes, yes I've heard that too, but I daren't give them mine without knowing which sort to give them. I'd be interested to know too. Also algae sticks/flakes, and again without knowing which sort I'm [persoanlly nervous about trying it. I'm probabaly over-cautious with them though

Me too. Don't want to give them anything that will cause them problems. Tried really thin slices of cucumber but they slithered past it. I suppose they need a bit of time to adjust to their new surroundings. I'll find out about the fish food and algae sticks.
I found another one in the tank this morning. Thought I'd got them all. The kids love the clear tub they are in they can see how fast they grow.
How do you put a smiley on a thread? Can't find an option when I post a reply.

Hopefully next year when the snails breed I will try them on different kinds of fish flakes, see which one's are best and which might be fatal.
And you mean the thread smiley or just ones that you add to your reply....like this ;D

The ones you add to your reply like yours. I can do them when i start a thread coz it gives you an option but not on a reply. I admit to not being very good with computers.

Are you using the Quick reply?
EDIT:
If you look under this post (or yours if you post before me) there is a few options like "Reply" "send this topic to a friend" and "print"
Click that reply, it gives you the options for the smileys in there = 3

I chop corn niblets in half as well, also very thin slices of sweet potato, very thin slices of sweet apple, same for courgette and anything else you can think of. Val

Mine get the same as the adults, but I peel every thing anyway.

Newly hatched babies often don't eat much for a few days after eating their eggs

That's good to know some of them still had their shells attached yesterday. I'll give them a couple of days. Some of them are going darker now and not as see through.
Thanks x
