Well I'm absolutely gutted........Bob one of my big Fulis looks to be suffering from what i think is a mantle tear!!It's not a full mantle collapse yet..which is good i suppose, but as a few of you already know,Vic my other big fuli is slowly on the demise after being ill and not eating for over 2 months now!! I can't believe Bob is ill now as well.. I've just moved him into a small shallow plastic container, and just hoping that if he's unable to climb then he may repair his self...fingers crossed!! He's been trying to climb in his big tank, but he's not been able to hold his shell up properly at all...... Gutted!!

Eeek! That's bad news. Poor Bob, there's hope of a recovery though. I wonder if it's wise to place him on damp cotton wool so ther's no soil to get into his wounds? Fingers crossed for him xxx

Oh no Spoox, sounds just like what my tiger had, a few weeks back, remember? He seems to be coming along fine now and healing himself just nicely.
The first week was the roughest for him I think, but he sliming around nicely now.
I did have some pics of him that I posted, if you remember, but I think I lost them when my pc crashed.

I was just putting the food down in Googly and Moogly's tank, now moogly has been hiding for a few days, I've seen him come out a few times but not very much. I picked him up to have a look and then noticed something different, could it be mantle tear? his muscle isnt attached to his shell at the top where it grows. Sorry for the blurness....Moogly is the smaller one

I don't think it is,the mantle isn't physically attached to the top, only folds over.Sometimes the mantle is a bit retracted from that area.Nevertheless,it's always good to keep an eye on it.
