I have seen some photographs here with quite deep water bowls and a lot of water. When there was only 1 adult in my terrarium, I had a turtle bowl with ramp with a bit of water and my snail liked going in quite a bit. Since I now have two adults and two babies, I put less water in, and none of them go in. I was wondering how much water should I really put so that the adults would go in but it won't be dangerous for the babies?

I used to use a huge waterbowl for my margies. It was about 14" across and about 3-4" deep and made of stone. I found anything too light and they tipped it. I did use a cat litter tray once but 2 big margies sitting on it was enough to tip it. With small snails I used the tiny little terracota pot bases. Brian.

My adults and babies are together. If I put too much water in, won't the babies drown?

There is a risk, yes. You just have to judge the water level to what you think is right I'm afraid. I fill mine to up to roughly half the height of their shells, I'd say... and I've got 4cm babies in with a 12cm adult. The adult is the only one that seems to use it though. It's one of those reptile dishes with the 'steps'.
I wasn't careful once and half a pepper had become full of it's own juices and I lost a couple of really tiny fulica babies that fell in while eating it.

That's a shame Charisma. Vida, you could maybe put some large pebbles in the bowl so the babies could climb out?

That's a good idea. What I've been doing this week is putting the water far away from the babies. They seem to tired/slow to go that far, whilst the adults do. But I might try the pebbles too.
