I got 10 fuli's and when they arrived the smelt abit. I asumed it was with them traveling in a small container with food. I put them in a clean tub etc. Now - they still smell. The snails do abit as well. I will clean them out again, they've only been in the tub for less than a week. Will the smell go? I have 7 other snails and none smell

Thanks for all the replys to my questions ;D Just want to make sure i'm doing everything right. Hmm - like maybe, foist? That sounds horrible doesn't it. I know its not their tub because my others are kept on the same coco stuff and fed the same.

Maybe bathing them in warm water might make them smell less. If it doesn't go straight away then just bath them once every two days or every day.
I bathed my fulica's every day because the kids where I used to live always wanted to come round and play with them.

I've just put them in a shallow bath. Well in the sink
They seemed to enjoy it and i have fully cleaned their tub out.

that is strange, usually when a snail has a bad odor, it is because they are dead, but yours are alive and well. this is a head scratcher. my only guess is that the home they were sent in had moldy food, and the smell went onto the snails, i think that was already suggested though.

I bathed them - no more smell.
I'm geussing the journey in the post with food may have made them smell.
So they are all ok now, went of to new homes.
Kept the tiny fulica out of them though - called Dot ;D
