Please help me. I just went to see my friend. And she just gave me 2 injured garden snails. I have no idea but ones shell looks very bad. There in a small ice cream container with soil ect. Will try and upload a pic i dont want to see them die.

Don't worry about them, give them cuttle water and food and let them rest for a few days, I have a helix with really bad shell growth, now he's fine and his shell is growing normally, he has a lump of shell where it's grown over and over itself.

Is the inner membrane intact? This may offer the snail some protection and a better chance of survival if so. I agree, damp kitchen towel, nice and clean, perhaps spray him too very gently, plenty of cuttlefish as already mentioned, and keep him in a small low container to prevent fall-damage.
Some snails manage remarkble and quick shell-mends, others just don't make it.
Good luck and please let us know xx

Dont worry about him ok?
the snail who has a growth the size of my roof, his shell does not connect around his spirals...so like when you see a snail like @ where it grows has been detatched so you can see alittle inside him. but like i said he's doing great now and his new growth is attached to him, i dont think I will let im free though because he's been through so much.

That doesn't look too bad. It looks like the sort of crack that will heal well. He's best off on his own though, and with his damp kitchen roll, cuttlefish and food. He is a Helix Aspersa, but I don't know whether it's Helix Aspera or Helix Aspersa Maxima ;D

I have a garden snail i found outback and he's bigger than my adult helix, his shell is also more flatter, his spiral shell is alot thinner but he isnt a garlic snail, he also isnt an adult snail because he hasnt grown that funny bit at the end.
I'm hoping he is a H.A.M Lovely shell pattern as well

Could you post a picture of the Snail? Im guessing you mean Helix aspersa maxima? I would doubt it would be one of them, since they arent found in the wild in the UK, they are from North Africa.

Well might not be then xD
I was taking a pic when the battery died.
He is different from the others, like i said he's the same size as my adult helix but he hasnt got a groove.
and his shell seems more flatter than them. I will try find a pic on google if not you will have to wait till the bats have finished.
