Yes, my snails like flowers of dandelion and leaves, then they love also flowers of coltsfoot. Leaves of yarrow I have tryied too and they loved those, anything else I haven't had chance to give because dry spring.

some of mine like them some dont, grass cuttings are also eaten by some as apparently is the hay/straw you can buy for homsters/rabbits . a friend of mine had great success with it.

Be careful where you get it from mind, if it`s near a road it`ll be full of carbon monoxide and lead. A nice country garden is fine but not a roundabout lol Mine turned thier tentacles up at it too but I did give them pretty big ones I suppose....

Hmm.. First time this year when I was in coutryside. I picked some food for snails. I found: Dandelion, nettle, currant leaves and flower buds, violet flowers, blueberry leaves and flower buds, Alchemilla, raspberry leaves, willow leaves, some dandelion looking plant which doesn't have poison in it, strawberry, rosebay willowherb, clover and yarrow. 12 plants I found, but in Finnish nature is something like 41 plants safe to get to snails(few more, but I can't really see difference between in some certain plants, so it's safer to leave them alone). When I made little research before spring. So plenty of food to eat on next week. I think snail will be very amazed various food what they r getting. Hope they enjoy all of the plants what I found or most of them. Babies eat everything they see, so it's up to adults to be food critics.

It's useful to have a list of wild plants that are edible to snails. I hope your snails enjoy their feast

I have noticed now when I have wild plants for food to my snails. They eat less than when u randomly give them Dandelion, or could it wild plants have better nutritional value than some vegetables. I was something like 4days in countryside. 2Adults & 3 babies shells round 4 to 5cm, eat snap glass of currant flower buds and little bit of Alchemilla. I tought they eat more. 2adults usually ate in day something like half handfull of Dandelion.

It might work in tank 'cos thin leaves needs moisture. And it's impossible get rid of from any very. Fast growing, and it isn't sensitive plant. And snails droppings will feed plant to grown. You could give it try to it. But if you take plant inside from garden try to take all of the soil off and rinse it with water so no insects will get in to tank.
