yayy. last night i had my snails in their bathing tub - because they are all still small enough to fit - and i took Brocolli to meet Trevor [my banded garden snail] they seemed like best friends and were forever chasing each other! I sure think Brocolli's not the right type of snail for him though, they are different in shell colouration and I think Brocolli is still young. - Trevor has been waiting for a mate for the last 5 months, but all the snails in my garden have seemed to disapear! ;]

Yeah. Snails are out of season at the moment! lol Once the warmer weather arrives they'll come out of hibernation. Some time in Spring on a warm wet evening you'll probly suddently see hundreds I'm glad that Brocolli continues to be active.

I can't wait for warmer weather. Although i'm sad about earwig, i'm so excited to get some more garden snails as their shells are very beautiful. lmao 'out of season' . hehe. Brocolli is actually helping me, he's on my keyboard - i'll take some photos of his shell, it seems better than when i found him

Wow that's shocking!!!! Poor little fella. I do think he's in good hands though. It may be good for him to be kept seperate until he is completely well, and perhaps on several layers of damp kitchen roll to keep out soil. Apart from spraying him a few times a day I don't really know what else to suggest, but he's survived this long so you must be doing the right things. Well done. It sounds hopeful but he still only may or may not make it. I don't want to be doom and gloom, just realistic. Fingers crossed x

I'm not even sure what type of garden snail he is ! - i think i'll keep a close eye on him, and make sure he doesn't get all stuck - as you say, he could make it or not, lets just hope luck is on his side . x

Brocolli - not a very good piture but it doesn't really show the extent of his damage ... Oh wow - the poor little guy really has been squished! It's great that you're looking after him though, and it sounds like he's improving! Maybe you could add some liquid calcium to the water you spray him with, just to give him some extra help with healing his shell damage? Keep us updated, he is a cutie

Sounds like a great plan. Be sure not to overdose on the calcium.

Sad news guys! I was watching Brocolli yesterday and he was fine, eating and crawling. When i looked this morning his shell was nearly completely gone, and he was, i'm sad to say, dead. Brocolli had 2weeks added onto his life because i rescued him, and i'm glad i made his life span longer! R.i.p Brocolli

Aw that is sad. As Arno says you did your best. Sometimes they make it, often they don't.
Hugs to you xxx
