HELPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPP!
my poor baby earwig is ill or even dead!
he smells like fish - hasn't been active for around 2 days and his body is turning a whitey cream. he's achatina fulica. he's my baby and i'm worried! i'll take images in about 30minutes!
PLEASEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!

i am totally not sure. he smells like dead fish, i think he may be, he is turning quite hard too my poooor baby earwig.

i think he is dead - well i suppose he is in a better place - if you know what i mean there is white goo on his body ! r.i.p little guy.

its okay. i have a burial memorial of all my pets who have left me - 2 mice 1 fish and now earwig can be sent somewhere better - and warmer. i think it was the cold.

Sorry about poor Earwig. Hope you're doing OK. Sometimes they seem to just die suddenly without any apparent reason... it's strange and sad. Maybe give the tank a thorough cleaning in case it was an illness of some kind.

Thankyou aliensnail and morningcoffee thats a good idea to clean the tank. my friend (who had seven snails) is now down to 5! she had 2 losses in the same day ! - i've adopted another snail - he's in a seperate tank because i found him on the road, he had been stood on! he's called Brocolli, although nothing can replace one snail with such character

he is very badly injured, i dont know if he'll make it! his shell comes apart if you touch it, although he has been feasting on that cuttle fish and cucumber!

Oooh fingers crossed for the little trooper, I really hope he pulls through. They can mend some amazingly bad shell injuries, but sadly many dry out and die before they get the chance to mend. It's great that he's been munching the cuttle, it's a good sign
