I jusut found two of my baby ovums, barely a month old possibly dead with huge transparent bubbles coming out of their shells. All the other babies seem healthy enough and all of them have eaten nothing but cucumber and spinach leaves for the past four days.
Has anyone heard of this bubble thing before? It seems to be coming from inside the shell and moves around like an attached water balloon.

Your two snails are probably alive and bubbling because something has caused them some stress. Many snails will retract into their shells and bubble when reacting to something that's irritating them or they feel threatened by something.
I suggest a warm bath to help them forget that they were reacting to a perceived threat, and to encourage them out for an inspection.

Yeah snails bubble when they`re scared but, are you talking about a single bubble? that looks like skin? or bubbles like fairy liquid bubbles?

A single bubble of what seemed like expanded skin, filled with fluid. D: It was connected up inside the shell and I couldn't pull it out.

Can snails get cysts or tumours? It could be something like that, or some kind of illness causing abcess-type things...

I was thinking gas, some infections in fish cause the swim bladder to fill with gas and they float on the top, I wondered if maybe bad food or a fungal infection could cause a gas build up under the membrane in the shell..... maybe....

Hi,
hum... yuk ! It seems to be solid and transluscent, am I right ? I've never seen that before. On the last picture, it seems to be protuding from the snail's body, not its mouth.
Sorry about that happening to your snails, Laurent
