I have a free paper , the Derby Express, comes once per week. Anyway within is an article "Hairdresser's shock over snail in salad" Basically she'd found a snail in her salad, and was utterly disgusted as she had eaten some and put it back in the fridge, then found the snail the next day. It was a packed mix of salad leaves - rocket, red lettuce etc, from Sainsburies in Derby, There's a photo of the little slimer but not a good enough one to identify it. Doesn't look like your's though Steve.
Well I think I'll start shopping at Sainsburies, because you're not the only one Steve!
I've found baby slugs in little gem lettuces from Tesco, but it's not quite so exciting - lol.
