I honestly don't know the sizes of those tanks in the link. I can't find where it says....
PetPal tanks are quite good, I'm trying to find a picture of one, and they come in different sizes, are quite cheap, and have straight sides which are useful for if you wish to use a heat mat. I'm trying to find a picture of one on-line. I could take a photo of one of mine tomorrow if necessary.
40 x 30 x 30 should be fine for a pair of fulica. Do you currently use a platic tank?
I'm asking because I have tried putting some of mine into plastic tanks in the past and they have never thrived in there.
I would say that if you are swapping one plastic tank for another, and the snails were happy in plastic before, then it should be fine. If you're swapping from glass to plastic then it's worth being aware that the heat flow from a heatmat will be different and may not work as well as the glass.
Other people have found that plastic tanks are perfect and find their snails are happier than in glass tanks, so it all depends.....

ooo I have one of those that Dusk has mentioned which is deeper than my glass. They are really east to keep clean but I've had to push the tank against a wall because the tape I have the heatmat on doesn't like to stick to it plus I have drilled holes in the back to let the heat through. Got my 2 margies in it and they seem to be very happy.

With the Hagen Pals Pen linked to in the first post, the dimensions stated are the maximum dimensions for the tanks. The ends taper in and are stepped, meaning much less room than a rectangular tank such as the one AS linked to. The walls of Pals Pen tanks are curved too, so if you're using a heatmat it's much trickier getting it attached. My small retics are in a large Pals Pen (check my thread in the pics section for a top view), and I think given the choice I would go with something else for larger snails.

If you wanna plastic tank why don't you buy duna which is made for rodents, many use those as snail/frog tanks just needs more often spraying than normal tank if needed just place plastic on top of the tanks lid to cover some airholes. I think I would buy that in stead of container box and if I would not have carring partner for big class tank. There's so many sizes and shapes so you will find the right one for you, some are huuuuuge 'cos they are some of them made for rabbits. :] images.google.fi/images?rlz=1C1CHMA_fiFI347FI348&sourceid=chrome&q=GABBER%20DUNA%20GARDA&um=1&ie=UTF-8&sa=N&hl=fi&tab=wi

Thanks for all the info. Have been looking at the Duna range. However, today I have been offered a glass aquarium that is 45cmx25cmx25cm. Is this suitable? Thanks!!

I personally think 25cm dept and hight is quite too little, you should fit some soil too in tank and there's not much space for snails neither.

it's probably a bit late now seen as this thread was from november time, but for anyone reading this having problems with finding a tank the right size, just try a plastic storage box, i found a perfect one for my snails, ALOT cheaper too, just make sure theres some holes in it so they can breathe lol.
