They look like Reticulata actually in the shell pattern anyway. ;D Hmmm..... See what a few more people say.... ;D

ok, cool, whatever they are they are chuffin greedy beggers - i thought the bit of cuttlefish would last quite sometime, but they have really hammered it.........just wondering if it could be a sign of them getting a lack of calcium with them being rescues?
I know some animals will eat extra as they know when they need it, wondered if snails are the same?

It's hard to say from just the shell, I'd say probably fulica, but if you can get a good shot of their body, reticulata and fulica have different colour patterns so that should help be sure. If they've been short on calcium, they probably will devour it - give them as much as they will eat It's not possible for them to eat too much - anything they don't use just gets passed through them.

Nice one - i did wonder with the calcium intake, as i was surprised how quick they chomped into it, even with 8 going at it, the demolision was pretty impressive to say the least will get a body shot aswell shortly

I personally think they look like fulica It's hard to bge totally sure though from shell photos alone, especially when the snails are still young. My money is on fulica though. Yeah snails can demolish calcium retty quickly

Not the best pic, but is this any better with the body showing a bit to be able to confirm the species please?

He's one of my newly-hatched fulica crosses, and no, he's not that colour I was playing around with the shiny new digital microscope and found that if they're in the centre of the lighting, they look coloured normally, but if you take your eye off them and they crawl to the edge of the petri dish right on the edge of the scope's range, they show up that beautiful colour Here's the same baby, 4mm shell: Full icon pic: Pretty, neh?
