Well I decided make this tread here. I had one moment ago. I was cleaning my baby snail tank and changing soil. I was lifting off table baby snail back in clean tank. That's not all I dropped it. And it bounced in to my subwoofer!! Poor little thing I tried to shake it out of there with no results now I just put some food on the hole which he went in there. Now it's just waiting game. It's kind of funny and sad. Sad mostly 'cos my friend was so excited from that I gave for my snail name that my friend once nominated. :/ If that snail will die I think I name next snail baby after him and add Junior in it's name so my friend won't get too sad if he hears that snail has died.

Well when I went on holiday I left my Dad in charge of looking after the snails. He came to fead them every two days and did a good job, except on the last day he didn't put a lid on properly and some adult fulicas crawled out. We had to play 'hunt the snail' late at night when we got back. There were slime trails all round my son's bedroom! We found them eventually I really hope your snail will be ok CrossLess, it sounds like it will be x

My snail is fine when I put him in baby tube he started to slime around very soon and ate loads of food. Thank god snails can't get any traumas like other animals.

Taking snails out of a tank walking acorss the room to the kitchen and washing them as you do..... just going about my normal snaily day cleaning routine. Then downs comes a spider and scares the cr@p out of amber and snail went flying................. we have a tarantula (i see these more like mice or rats - which i love - theyre all cute and fluffy - drop a house spider in front of me and i will SCREAM!) Unfortunately, that happened this afternoon. Snail ok. More my pride that was damaged above all else.

Awww It sounds a little odd I have to admit, to be fine with turantulas and not house spiders, but I see your point, they look different to our native spiders. Glad all was well though xx

I remember last year, I was just moved and I had my first snails with me in new apartment. My friend came over to see me middle of messy apartment, boxes everywhere etc. Then he was "Ah at last, now I can see those your lovely snails.. Could you introduce those for me." "Moment.. well ahh.. one moment, I have to find them first.." How embarrassing that was, I didn't then had "eye for snail" like know day I can find them hiding. I digged whole tank before I found them hiding. ;D

I was stricken with a plague of flies, and I responded with the mightiest weapon in my arsonal - the vacuum cleaner. Victory! And then I dropped it and the nozzle fell into a box of baby fulis DX
I spent way, way too long combing through acres of animal hair and dust to find the poor things. All five were quite unharmed by their adventure, though they required several baths and were disinclined to forgive me.
(Vacuum cleaner bag != the Land of Oz.)

Well, there was an awful lot of animal hair to cushion their trip XD Dust aside, it was probably like being sucked up by a large comfy cushion. I wish I didn't have to vacuum, but I spill dirt and fishfood and all sorts of things far too often. And we'd be knee-deep in animal hair within a week.

Lol! Oh well, I'm glad they're safe and sound. Just something very off topic that I've wanted to ask you for ages. Is that snail in your picture real?

Just something very off topic that I've wanted to ask you for ages. Is that snail in your picture real? It's a live snail, but the colouration is a mysterious lighting effect of the microscope I was using to photograph it It's actually a typically-coloured baby fulica.
