What is your most embarrassing snail accident?

Old thread, I realise, but seems a fitting place for a recent snail near-disaster. I accidentally threw Bill in the bin with food waste and didn't discover he was missing for nearly a day. Searched the entire apartment and eventually found him hanging out on the side of the bin-bag about two-thirds of the way down, happy as Larry! VERY glad I didn't bother to take out the trash that morning... :/

If you were to ask my snails, my most embarrassing moment would surely be when I tried to pick up Iisakki (leucistic Margie) when he was very little, and somehow my thumb touched his growing edge and bent it a bit. He looked SO GRAVELY DISAPPOINTED, he had this face on for many minutes! It was really disturbing, really threw me off my tracks trying to clean up the tank with that venomous stare coming at me! I still joke about it with my boyfriend.

If you ask me though... letting two of my wild-caught snails escape through an unlocked hatch when their tank was on the balcony.
Third floor balcony that is (if 0 is the ground).
