I love it when I`ve just tidied and cleaned the glass and stuff in my snail tanks. ;D I`ve brought my snails back downstairs now it`s warmed up a bit. It`s really nice to see them again I`ve lost two lovely snails through the cold, I think quite a few people have lost at least one. It`s really sad... I spent the entire day yesterday cleaning snail tanks and doing a bit of a change over. I`ve wanted to clear out my octona tank now for a while so I spent hours searching for tiny little snails in the compost lol and then I moved them to a slightly smaller tank upstairs. That left me with a nice sized tank for my Pleurodonte maginella and my Hadra webbi, now I don`t have to worry about eggs getting mixed up with C.Marginella or not being able to find them. Hopefully, they`ll get to breeding in there. I can just leave them to it aswell, I cut the perspex lid myself, there are only the tinyest gaps in it. I`ll be sooooo happy if either of those two species breed ;D The tank below is the new Hadra and Pleurodonte tank, I thought I`d measure temps in there at first just to put my mind at ease. I`ve got 27c at the back and 19c at the front, cushdy ;D I`m going to temporarely put an extra heater on this tank and my mid sized one too I think, I`ll do that every winter now....

Well, they don`t tend to bulldoze because of the way I do the tank. I always have it deep at either side and I dig plant pots into the sides too. The feeding area in the middle is shallow. They dig into the sides but it doesn`t make a mess really, they just bury themselves nice and tidy ;D lol I stuff the plant pots with moss too, they burrow into that and they love it ! ;D

I did my tank with deep sides a few times and mine trashed it in no time. They like to tip up their dishes. I have a deep water dish in now that they can't tip over and they sit in it. They love the logs and moss mine like to hide in them.

I think it`s because my sides are so steep, it just collapses when they come out. Koppite, I got those vines off Ebay, they`re posable too so you can bend them how you want them There`s a link here somewhere, I`m not sure where it is but I think Ness knows....
