I just read that springtails are good things to have in snail tanks. It turns out that I have a plant that has lots of them. But of course it's been fertilised. So I'm not sure if I can just take some from there. Well, of course, since they're so small and "springy", I can't just take them, right? And taking a bunch of the soil with them would not be an option because of the chemical fertiliser. So what I thought I'd do is put a little lid with some snail and poop soil in it, and leave it on top of my plant's soil hoping that at some point I'll be able to find some springtails in there, that I could then place in the snail tank. Does this sound like a good idea? Or should I just try and find some shop where I can buy some?
