Hi! If i get grove snails should i put them in the fridge for hibernating in the winter?

Mmm don't think i'd put them in the fridge.....if the temperature drops anyway they will hibernate themselves... I think they bring themselves in and out of hibernation every few weeks... I may be wrong... Hopefully someone else will correct me if i am

Your right spook, all my grove snails go into hibernation when the feel its right for them to and wake up the same way. I just keep them in tanks at room temp through winter n summer.

My Cepaea just hibernated all winter, sleeping soundly attached to the tank walls in room temp. Some woke up more than others, I think one little sleepy head could stay 8 weeks without moving, and then just turn a little and sleep more. One kept falling asleep on the tank door so her sleep sadly got disturbed a lot, but she seems okay.
