I found cheap thermostat for heat mats! But does it work...

Hi!

I was looking around the Internet for a cheap reptile thermostat for my tank, and I stumbled across one for around £6. I thought it would be ideal! Although, I don't know if it would work for controlling a heat mat. Here is the website, tell me what you think about it. I don't want to buy something that will waste my money!

I've never used a thermostat so i can't provide an opinion i'm afraid....hopefully someone else will be more helpful

hmmmmmmmmm never seen that before so i cannot comment. It is suspiciously cheap but it could still be good you never know. If you do try it i'ld try it on an empty tank first to be safe.

I use habistat thermostats (matstat) (which have gone odd on me a few times but mostly have worked well) and microclimate thermostats (matstat) (which have so far been fine) with any thermostat you need to check the temperature with a thermometer the values it gives as being set at are sometimes immaginative!
