here are some of my helix
helix pomatia -
helix lucorum -
helix cincta -
helix aspersa -
helix aspersa maxima -
so far these are the 5 different helix species I own, in the next few weeks I shall be getting another helix species x

Very, very pretty! I didn't know there was a Helix aspersa maxima. Thanks for all the nice comments and Etana the helix aspersa maxima were origionally bred for food as the the normal aspersa weren't big enough and the Maxima have somehow found there way into people's snail collections x

Wow! I'm super jealous! I knew maxima was 'cultivated' for food but I've never seen someone mention they keep it as a pet. Is it found wild in your area or was it ordered?

Not found in the wild. I bought my babies off someone who had the adults as pets and thenthey grew into what they are today x

I wonder if they are in the wild somewhere though. I figured some might have escaped from large snail farms, but if not then that's amazing. I don't know much about maxima, but i want to find some info as to how long it took to breed the species. Maybe something similar can be done with other captive snails lol.
