Sorry to be a ninny but I am trying to find basic care infor for the snails I hope to buy very soon. I really don;t mind what type they are as I love them all but I do not have the room for Giants, although they are lovely. If I remember you keep them on peat if I am not mistaken, decorate their tank and leave lots of tasty food. Any advice would be very welcome. I already have a plastic tank but wonder if it is going to be big enough.

Hi, I keep mine on coir and moss. I have a lot of babies in a smaller plastic tank and I have retics and a rodatzi in a 86cm by 36cm viv. I put plastic plants and plant lettuce that has a root. My snailies love it. Retics are a nice size snail but depends what size snails you want to keep. I also have heat mats on both my viv and baby tank. There are quite a few smaller species that won't grow massive. What size is your tank?

Thanks hunnies for your kind posts. I have a couple of tanks Snailcrazy, one is 13" x 8 1/2 by 8" high. The other is 15" x 8" x 10" high. I am not sure that either of them are large enough for snailies. Thanks to you too Spook, I will have a look on there.
I was at Duchy College open day today and I held a giant snail, he was so gorgeous, I would love some.
