Hi all, we have two eggs which are about 2-3 weeks old and haven't matched yet. I noticed they have some cracks down them, could that mean they're going to hatch, or could it be that they've been injured by the other snails?

You'll know soon either way - but my bet is on them being just about to hatch. Let us know!

Most of the time cracks usually mean that they're about to hatch, though it can be cases of predation sometimes.

Hi guys, the eggs are nearing the 3 week mark with no signs of hatching, at what point should I give them up as a lost cause? X

When they turn dark, smell bad, or someone eats them. I wouldn't otherwise, some snails do take ages to hatch!

Margie eggs take about a month to hatch. What snails have you got?

My fulica eggs have taken everything from immediate/live birth (no kidding...some sneaky snails here) to some weeks. Keep us posted.
