Hi, all! I have an aquarium converted to snail tank that has successfully housed my first round of Milk Snails for a couple of years. I would like to plant it to make it more natural/homey for my new Milk Snails. Is Cat Grass OK for them? I want to plant something easy that I'm not going to kill too quickly - I don't have a green thumb. My best plants are always fittonia (nerve plants), so I don't want to try anything that requires a gardener. Would fittonia be okay to put in the tank?
FYI: My tank doesn't have any lights or heat. It's set up in a classroom with mostly fluorescent overhead lights and "normal" temperatures. My snails come out to eat every couple of days and move around the tank. It's got coconut fiber substrate right now and a plastic plant saucer with water and smooth rocks.
Thanks.

I am not sure about that one hunny but one of our friends on here will be able to advise you. Do the kiddies love the snailies?
Hugs JO xx

Hiya they do sound cute, we used to have a fulica in one of our science rooms, was very cool as a kid! I'm not sure if the same is true of milk snails, but if i put something in that they shouldn't have (accidentally lol) they just steer clear of it, so i guess you could try it if you want? Hopefully someone can give a definite answer though! X
