You may have heard that there was a series of stabbings in Finland, and some of you might recall my address. This horror, in fact, happened in my town.
I'm ok, physically. Can't wrap my mind around this. Nor the fact that I was right there an hour earlier. When it had just happened (which I didn't know), I was going somewhere and fiddled with my navigator. It told me to avoid the area - and I thought nothing of it because traffic just jams up every day here. This time the jam was due to the police shutting entrances.
Just wanted to let everyone know, and also clear up any doubts.

Oh Etana love this is dreadful and I am so glad you are alright. What is going on everywhere? Are the stabbings random or do the police think there is some planning behind them? Stay safe dear friend and try and avoid that area.

There's one main subject who ran around the town center with a knife stabbing whoever was in the way, primarily women. The police stopped him with a bullet to his leg. A bunch of other people have been arrested, but I don't know why.
It's being investigated as terrorism.

I was wondering about that Etana love but I didn't like to suggest it. With all these dreadful terrorist attacks all over the world, I thought it may well be the case. I wish there was a way to stop this or better still, to have prevented it all from happening in the first place. It is very hard to keep hate out of your heart when people are dying for no reason and at the hands of another who has equally no good reason. Stay safe sweetie.

I had heard and did wonder Etana, Im so glad to hear your ok but please stay safe.
I'm sorry that I didnt get on line sooner to reply but I've had a pretty dire 2 weeks here hand rearing a rejected foal. Which meant 2 hourly feeds day n night and me doing the lot of it. Needless to say any spare time ive had ive been asleep so not online much. The good news is the vet imported a hormone in from abroad and I injected the mare with it yesterday when it finally arrived.
She then had her body kick into thinging she was foaling down again, complete with contractions and sweating. At the right time I reintroduced the foal and bless her she excepted him YAY. So finally he has his mum. He had been born 2 weeks premature in a very bad tropical storm that hit us. She wasnt ready or due to foal but the shock of the storm meant she did and panicked and then left the foal. Thankfully his Grand Dam was in the same feild and adopted him but had no milk to feed him with.
So I had the feeding and she raised him until we could get his mum to except him back. I still have to supliment bottle feed 3 times a day and he's not quite out of the woods yet as he has a urinary tract infection so is being treated for this , its not uncommon in premature colt foals. So after another week he will hoepfully be ok. In the mean time tonight is the 1st night I get nearly a full nights sleep in 2 weeks YAY. So please excuse the fact I'm not around as much and the fact my typos are far worse than normal.
stay safe Etana

Good to see you Zorst, the number of animals who need your help is astounding. I am only glad that you're there for them but I hope you will get some rest too. I thought of you just earlier. You might know that I bought a huge hide for my snails. Well, once they accepted it as a part of their tank now and started sleeping in it, they also started dragging calcium dishes, food dishes and really anything and everything into the hide. Reminded me of Marrow stealing a whole bath tub, it's easy to believe it now, lol! I don't know who's doing all the dragging but Marrow's children and grand-children live in that tank, so. The town is calming down, it was full of policemen and all kinds of security personnel for several days after the ordeal but now things are slowly returning back to normal.

Ahh if there any way near as determind n stubborn as Marrow was lol they sure will be taking things ito there new hide lol. Last I herad he had managed to woo another snail into his pent house cave and was even allowing it to share his bath and food pile lol. Talk about the godfather mafia snail, he always makes me laugh when I think of or hear about him. I do miss Marrow but its also great that I get regular updates about him and his antics. Re the foal yes he has a name its Coyote becuase when he was wet n laying down in the grass when I found him from a distance thats what he looked like color wise. If it works there should be some photo's of him below. He's doing well and growing, he's got a bit of an infection at the moment but that's pretty normal for a premature foal so he's being treated for it. But to look at you wouldn't know it as he's bouncing around and playing with everything and everyone.

Thanks guys, he's a really friendly foal very curious but respectful. Ahh Marrow will always be Marrow and when he sets out to woo another snail he really does his best to give them the red carpet treatment lol. I hope tht they manage to make some more little marrows.
I need to get some sleep as it nearly midite and I have to give Coyote a feed at 3am.

Coyote n his mum ae doing well, She's just happy she has her baby. Its been a bit of a chaotic time the last few weeks so some quiet time for them to bond and for everything to calm down is much needed and apprecaited. fingers crossed re Marrow and some little Marrow's.
