Does anyone use UVB light for snails? I've got a spare UVB stater and was thinking of adding a 5% bulb to the snail tank if it could be uood fov them? I was thinking a timered set up so they could have a day/night cycle going on, does anyone have any ideas?

I think its a good move as long as the bulb is covered with mesh to stop them getting burned.
I dont have a light but I am looking at supplements of vitamin D3 until I do get mine into my exo terra with UV.
By adding UV light it will deffo help with the the utilisation of vitamin D3 and of course help with a more natural shell growth.
Certain foods will help also such as the snail grub as I am sure things like hemp seed also help.
Edit: regarding supplements I forgot to say dont buy any that contains sodium as there are many types of Na and I wouldnt want anyone accidently giving NaCl (salts) as I note a lot of vitamins for reptiles etc dont actually state which type of sodium they use.
I am currently looking In on things like ZOLCAL-D and I am just awaiting some feedback on whether it contains Na.
I do know it contains Calcium borogluconate 40% (400g/litre), magnesium 2mg/ml and vitamin D3 25000 IU/litre.
I also want to check if the above ingredients are also safe to use and in what dosages for snails. As soon as I get feedback ill report back.
