Any odd species like that is bound to be more expensive and have more special issues than something thats a well known quantity like a cornsnake.
I don't think 'better' or 'worse' can really be given to snakes. Its just different than a Corn and unique.
A question you'd need to ask, Mikey, is whether or not you'd be able to get fresh finch eggs while the snake was a baby? From what I've researched, freshness is important.

I keep an egg-eating Snake. Ive kept my one for nearly 5 years now, and it was long term captive (wild caught) when I bought him, so not sure how old he his?
They are great Snakes to keep, my one is very tame. Most of the ones offered are at least eating small quails eggs when they are sold, which are available from speciality markets, so fairly easy to feed really.

I was under the impression that the eggs had to be fertile? If so it's quite easy, but you need to get a couple of quail first!
