I give them to my aquatic snails and they love them, land snails would probably enjoy them but I'd recommend you soak them first. Worth getting as a christmas present for the slimers!

I used to use a mixture of algae wafer (designed for plecs) mixed with ground cuttlefish and some water to form a paste to feed my lignus. I used to literally paint it onto the branches to try and mimic what and how they would eat in nature.

cool! Thanks Brian, I may see if my snails enjoy it x
I have some Limicoloria Flammae which are very active and thriving, yet all they seem to bother with is cucumber and crished sweetcorn. I have tried all sorts and I may try this next.
They seem fine, but very limited diet.

I have just discovered that my helix species have a taste for algae wafers. This makes sense as in the wild algae, lichen and fungi would make up a large part of the helix diet. I am generalising a little from what I know about the natuaral diet of helix aspersa/cornu aspersum, but It has also gone down well with my helix engaddenis and my nemoralis which is from the same family

That's good to know. I found that both of these were oddly fussy when I tried to keep them. ;D I never thought about trying them with algae
