so i just wanted peoples opinions on posting snail after autumn...... Asking because I have some babes that are going to be ready to go in about 3 weeks.......do you lot think it's going to be too chilly??..or if they are packed well would it matter? help please!! ;D

I don't know. If it's a frost night I am not convinced that they would be ok. If the temperature drops low they would go into hibernation and be fine when warmed up but a really low temperature may kill them. Unfortunately I don't know exactly how low this would need to be.
I've got some babies that are ready for putting up for sale/adoption too but dare not risk it, so I'll sell them next year when they are Juvies.
Someone a while back talked about sending them with use-once long-lasting gel heat pads, resonably priced when buying in bulk, however the only ones I ever found only lasted for a few hours.
If it's forcast rain at night I may be tempted to risk it - a clear night may mean frost in which case it would be dodgy I think.

Trouble is, I have 50 baby fulica here and just don't have the room if they get any bigger! I hope they go this month D:

Mmmm...I'm going to try my local freecycle,so at least people will come and collect them,I'm just going to write a care sheet to give away with them..... ;D

If you use polystyrene tubs and post them Royal Mail Special Delivery so that they get there the next day they should be fine. They won't be outside they will be inside the post office.
