Several months ago I ordered two of these, for delivery in ther first week of September. Before the scheduled delivery I was contacted by the seller to explain that due to delays in customs paperwork these would be delayed until October, and would I like to hold my order until then or do I want to cancel? I chose to wait the extra month, though it did not occur to me that the weather would be cold in October. Duh.
Does anyone know if these are likely to survive a journey at this time of the year in the post overnight if the weather is frosty?
Thanks x

I think these are pretty tough animals, and if they have been packed right it shouldn't pose a problem.

If its the normal ebay guy he is normally pretty good. Ships other inverts like crabs and roaches. So should be be fine. Last time he sent them via Em.
Mine were really hardy and one of the only species to survive when my house sitter let me down.
Great snails and worth waiting for
Tigs ;D

I will tell you a confession now, when I recieved my lovely Immacs through the post the package would not fit through the letterbox, and noone was home(I was at college), the postman left the package in the greenhouse, not knowing it's contents. the next day we found out that they were there a full day later when the next days post came and he told us.
when we opened it the snails were right as rain! and they were babies! you don't need to worry, I'm sure your snails will be just fine!

Just noticed this thread, if the Trinidad Megas are anything like the Uruguay ones they should be ok to be sent when its cold. I kept them last year, I received my ones through next day post and they were fine. When I usually receive the Uruguay Megas though they take upto 2 weeks to arrive, and usually in quite cold temperatures and arent even retracted when they arrive, so are very hardy, more so than most GALS i'd think.
