I hatched my first batch of baby margies on Sunday, and I wonder if anyone could give me any tips on rearing them. I am keeping them in a small hatchling tub ( www.cornishcrispa.co.uk/product_info.php?cPath=174&products_id=2827 ) on damp coir with thin pieces of lettuce, cucumber and sweet potato and a piece of cuttle but they are not eating yet and spend a lot of time on the lid of the tub. It is on top of my lizard viv to keep warm. Any hints greatly appreciated!

I found out (to my poor hatchling's cost) that removing them too early from their eggs was detrimental to their health, so if you still have their egg shells it would be worth putting these in with the hatchlings.
Basically when left to hatch and stay in the tub for a day or two they grew stronger than those I removed immediately on hatching.
Apart from that I don't have any tips, congratulations, hope they do well, I imagine you will be rewarded with more eggs soon too ;D
The hatchlings, once they've done their egg-eating, behave the same as any other snail and needs the same care. It may also be an idea to use soil from the parent's tank, as it will have a good bacteria mix which will aid in the babies ability to digest things.

I left them to hatch in the parents' tank, and I found them when they started to come to the surface. The shells were mostly gone, so I presume eaten? I have another batch that was laid about 10d ago so fingers crossed for them!

Right, I've had them too hot with heat from underneath! I've moved them to a cooler spot and they've come down onto the food!
