dont know if we have one on here if we have just delete this Firstly get some moss take the snails to be sent and place them in a tub just larger than them (mine is allot larger due to sending eggs as seen in next picture) If sending eggs put in a seperate tub or they will be squashed during transit Cover in moss(some people use paper towels but i prefer moss) so the snails cant bump into eachother etc line your box with newspaper or paper towels for insulation place tub inside box and then cover in newspaper, close lid and selotape up that is all but her are a few tips not to forget - Dont forget to put the snails in the box it sounds silly but it has been done
- Dont forget to put holes in the lid of the plastic tub none are needed in the box
- Write a senders adress on the back incase of complications
- Write adress of reciever clearly

I can't remember where I have read this, but someone raised the point that most folk punch holes into the plastic tubs for the snails, and then wrap the entire thing in bubble wrap, making the holes a bit pointless. On that note.... Here's an example of an alternative way of cushioning the tub..... There's holes punched into the clear plastic lid at the top. The bubblewrap then covers the tub and part of the lid (but not the holes), in such a way that if the tub was dropped or knocked bubblewrap would cushion it.. However, snails do not require the same amount of air as vertibrates, I've received many snaily parcels where the holes have been covered up, or were none-existent, and the snails have been fine. My personal preference is to ensure there's plenty of air, but I am not sure how necessary that is.

.....this is how NOT to do it - ok i am totally new to GAL's but do have common sense, even if t is just a bit ;D 1 snail seems to have a slght crack in the shell, but other than that seem ok - which i think is a minor miracle they did not arrive as 'snail paste'
