I've been sent these photos of a couple of snails, the keeper of these snails said they were sold to her as albino ventris (albino shelled that is). I wonder if anyone can identify them please? Thanks x

could be albino shelled purpurea their last whorl is less bulbous than ventricosa excellent find btw i thought these had almost vanished from captivity

yeah, those are definitly the ones from the Ivory Coast sold as "queen ventricosa" they could be albino shelled ventricosa or purpurea though. Archachatina purpurea stay around 7-8cm apparantly, and are less rounded than ventricosa, they are also more likely to have a pink apex I think.

they look exactly the same as the one i have which i believe to be queen ventricosa

I would list them as Archachatina sp. Ivory Coast personally, they do look very much like purpurea, but could also equally be ventricosa.
