Hi, finally I got a giant african land snails page, too... Until now I wrote about them on my private blog, but most readers are no snail fans, so I registered an own domain and the last days the first content show up! And today I added a nice feature for english users (or other users which are not capable of speaking/reading my native language, german ) - the possibility to add english entries. I would be happy if you take a look: achatschnecken.info, a better design will follow if I got an great idea The main language is still german, to show up english content click on the left on Languages -> English Best regards, achatina

Thanks for your visit! ;D Yes... I thought that might be useful, but I switched it off... for the first time. In my private blog I had sometimes requests for snails I hadn't advertised which is very annoying, especially if you have comments/requests from one person who's using each time another name... even if it is a 'true' member of the family it is too obvious that the requests come from one person Another english entry Best regards, achatina

Oh that must be annoying.
Your English is excellent, I always feel a little humble whenever someone can speak fluent English, as I wasn't very good at learning other languages. Here in the UK we don't learn a language at school until the age of 11, and traditionally we all learned French. At first I was placed in the top group for French, but quickly fell behind as lessons progressed. I just couldn't get the hang of it. My son's about to start senior school and will be learning Spanish, but he wanted to learn German, so is thinking about buying some German CDroms.
Anyway I have gone very off topic here (sorry about that). The two English Blog entries are very good. I hope you have success with your Albopicta hatchlings.
xx

Never mind with off-topic... thanks for your comment! In Germany the pupil now learn english at primary school, I think... I started with english at the age of 11, too, but I had to admit... I hated it like all languages And that didn't change until the the last three years of grammar school ... but now, in apprenticeship, I mainly had to write english... so I think, my practice had increased... This evening another "Achatina albopicta-counting" is aimed... I'm curious how the result will be... I don't see many on the surface, unfortunately. Best regards, achatina

Hi, just a little update. I'm now writing only in german (shame on me), but the plugin I used was a bit disturbing, so I deinstalled it... but as I post mainly pictures that should be no problem for english users. A 'field report' with my Archachatina marginata egregiella is up (under 'Informationen'), some more pictures in this entry and an entry for A. achatina is in the making... I'm looking for pictures of f. bayoli, f. monochromatica and co., anyone? Snails for sale is also up-to-date Oh, and I have now a banner: Best regards, achatina

I like your banner very posh, I've got one for my rabbit fourms advertsing my website. The marginata egregiella are stunning, and your tigers are lovely also. Great website
