Snail 1 is ventricosa, Snail 3 is suturalis. I dont know for sure on the 2nd snail though, it could be degneri or puylaerti.

Sorry to be a pain.
The last pic of the 4 snails, the one on the far left I think is a suturalis but he's fatter and bigger then the on next to him I pretty sure he's not ovum cos he has a pink apex and columella. Caould they be from different areas or is he another snaily in disguise? Oh it's soo confusing.

There isnt any definitive way, but the shell shape does look different to ventricosa, also the texture and pattern. I would think its either puylaerti or degneri.
The snail on the far left in the last picture is captive bred, so the shell wouldnt be worn at all, suturalis can also be variable. It isnt impossible for it to be suturalis x ovum though.

Cheers, Kevin.
I've had a look on exotic pets to compare them both and he looks more like the degneri ie shell colour he's quite light bodied. He's also quite big around 12-13cm.

Can degneri shells be that slender though?

Can degneri shells be that slender though? They are usually more rounded, but im sure ive seen more slender ones. They could more likely be puylaerti then I guess, even though they are meant to be physically more or less the same they do tend to be more slender.

It does seem that most people think he's a puylaerti which is good cos I would like to find him a mate and also get a mate for the ventri. If anyone has either and want a home for them please could youl let me know.
Thanks everyone.

It's soooo hard to tell from pics. I don't know if this helps but his shell curves out very slightly like my venrti. All my other snails shell are straight at the lip. Not sure if that makes any difference to what he is.
