Ive just ordered some new snails and there r some Subulina octona included in the order. They sure look to be interesting little snails. This post has been interesting to read and any further tips on keeping them would be welcome.
All the snails here have a good supply of cuttle fish including a small piece in any water they have as well as oyster or scallop shells as water containers which they rasp away at. They have good shell growth so I'm guessing its working.
As to keeping any lids of any tanks , no thanks I have a few escapee's from time to time mostly when a rug rats not put a tank lib back on properly. One morning I woke up to the map on the wall having a trail of bite holes across it. Sure enough behind it hiding for the day with nice full tummy's of my map were x 6 escapee's lol. Needless to say they were returned back to there tank. Still have the map mind lol.
