ok so i thought my baby fulica were getting bigger everyday but wasnt certain i went away for three days and when i came back... they were MASSIVE! atleast double the size i sware, (bar one little snail lead who has hardly grown atall... thats worrying- hes grown a little but is far behind the others are my others growing super fast or is he being very slow...) i'll post some pics as soon as i take some for size comparison! Also its odd despite getting ALOT bigger the markings i was using to recognise them are in the same place on the snail i would have assumed they would appear to move backwards as the shell grew from the front yet this doesnt seem to have happened, they just seem to magically have expanded! - very odd....

it is true baby snails grow at an incredible rate > As regards markings i dont really think you can ever tell until they reach a certain age what they will turn out like, there can be great variation in a single clutch of snails ;D

Yeah my last lot of Reticulata are all very different, dark skin, light skin, albino, almost black... As for one not growing at the same sort of rate as the others, don`t worry about it ! it happens. You`ll get some big `uns, some small `uns, my favourite Fulica, the only one I`m not getting rid of, is called Poo. He`s been with me for oooh years, I`ve had him for four years easy, and he was at lease three when I got him ! He`s a small `un, barely six inches shell length, I`ve seen Fulicas loads bigger than him, but still, I consider `ol Poo a pedigree lol and I love him to bits...... You should see how fast my Retics are growing ! Now that is just scary, they`re the fastest growing snails I`ve ever seen.......

wow almost black i'm glad i dont need to worry, its not how big he gets that bothers me but i was worried his lack of growth might mean something else was wrong and that he might die young but im very happy if he stays small I love Illya to pieces (my older fulica) and hes about half the size of the other 3 but with a fatter shell if you follow.... what i meant about the patterning was that it's in the same relative location ie the patterns were near the leading edge of the shell and they still are just more spread out from one another, i would have expected them to move further away from the front as more shell was added at the front! anyway i still cant get over how fast they are growing and if retics grow even faster... super duper snails! you sure you dont have any uranium or anything near by?
