fortunatly this is very good rain as some of you know i picked up ome more snails recently. So my very first snails had something to say about this getting other snails, and this is what i found today when i came back from riding: what is Indiana doing?!: ooohhhh: i told myself that since these are normal shelled normal bodied any eggs would have to be frozen since there will be plenty of eggs and there are many unwanted fulica around. However i'm thinking of keeping about 2 eggs since i know who one of the parents is, and indiana is my friendliest snail - he'll run (for a snail) up the side of the tank to great you and slime onto your outheld hand. he has just the perfect temprement, so im hoping he might pass on that temperment! I know that of 2 none may hatch or maybe one or both, but i really cant keep more than that if i left more eggs to hatch. I know they were laid today so i know i have a bit of time to play with so if anybody wants me to see if i can hatch up some babies for them too (for pets only not food) please let me know ASAP. see clasified for more details. edit: please note : they may not hatch for all i know they may be infertile. also its goign to take me a while to figure out how to post in classifieds ;D - happy Alice

My jadatzi pop eggs out every time I go to Sctland and guess where I'm going tomorrow. Sooo I'm ecpecting more eggs. They are very sneaky slimers. My snails don't burrow a lot so I get very suspicious when they do. Yours look like they do the same sneaky thing when you are not looking. They must ahve a sixth sense.

just been pouring it down, cant find none ill be out at dawn tommorow, looking What's near your house? If you've got any woodland or park areas, then try looking on bushes and plants in dark secluded spots, particularly in or near hedgerows. Remember that snails like to hide, so look underneath leaves and on the underside of branches and stems. Cepaea also like to climb high so try looking on tree trunks and branches, especially on fruit trees.

they are little? terrors its some cunning plan im sure! if you have a park nearby which was a limestone quarry i recommend going there, it's capea central (i'll post some pics of some nice ones i saw later, pink and orange?!) - i'm annoyed i didnt have a pot to steal some in theres also all other sorts, including something which wasnt your typical H. aspera, Capea spp., or garlic snail hmmm.... sadly i didn't get a pic *silly* I don't know how close you are to the stone centre but that place is AMAZING for snails! if you want asperas i recommend walking around at dusk on normal streets especially after it has been raining, you have to watch your step mind they are EVERYWHERE!

They certainly are beautiful. The second snail is a Cepaea nemoralis. Not sure about the top one, looks similar to some I picked up a while ago but I can't remember what they were identified as ( )
