My two Puyleartis appear to be ill. I noticed last night they were rather sleepy but assumed that was all it was, sleepiness. However they haven't moved, my baby has gone dry and stiff (and looks like he may be dead), and my adult is deeply retracted and lethargic. Oooh dear. I've given them baths, my adult has responded and come out of his shell a bit but doesn't appear interested in food, so I've placed him on top of his meal. He looks like he's lost weight while I was away. The Puys are not kept together, but appear to be the only snails affected. hmm.

Hoe are they now? Did they get enough moisture (spraying etc) while you were away?

I'm really not sure what went wrong while I was away, but they were both in humid tanks that shouldn't have needed spraying, and were happily in those tanks for quite a while sliming around and active. Really not sure what could have gone wrong. the baby (Sweetie) has now died , the adult just doesn'tg seem to want to wake up at all so it doesn't look good right now. Thanks for asking x

Oh bugger. Sorry to hear it. Ditto. Hope the adults pull through. It never seems fair but its nearly always a mystery..... we need a snaily Dr doolittle. Good luck.

Well, he lingered for ages, and even with plenty of tlc he didn't come out of his shell. Eventually I changed tactics and left him alone to rest. A couple of days ago I saw him come out of his shell, munch some food and crawl a couple of inches. He then had a sleep, and I felt things may be improving. Then last night he died. I haven't worked out what the problem was, it's just one of those things I guess.
