I`ve been waiting for my medium sized Tiger to lay his self seeded eggs for ages, I think he may have done so now !! I spotted a few eggs on the surface, dug down a bit and there he is ! But the eggs are small, very small, so I`m not certain. The ones I can see are only a bit bigger than C.Marginella eggs, has anyone else has small Tiger eggs?

wow, extra small! Ours are bigger than normal fulica eggs but ive only had the one clutch laid here. We bought some on line that were a bit smaller than the ones ours laid and there was a very low survival rate on the hatchlings and they arent growing very well at all..... in fact, you have a couple of them dont you... (Duh) and they are a few months old now so should be bigger really. Very probably not tigers....... expecting anything else to lay? Or maybe he was having a practise test run! I had some immacs lay eggs recently and some of the snails ate most of the clutch of eggs...... maybe he has breakfast on his mind.

Hmmm.... Yeah... not sure. I do have a Fulica in there. That`s the only other thing that could possibly have laid such small eggs. Bear in mind that this Tiger has self seeded, I know it`s a long shot but I wonder if it`s possible? I`ll find out soon I suppose ! The babies are doing well, the newly hatched ones are really growing ! I`ll count them tommorrow I think, they don`t look fragile anymore lol The other two are perfectly happy though, I see them often, they`re the first on a new bit of food lol Closely followed by the Puys Cor I love my snails so much...

I must admit the little tiger babies here are doing really well, eating me out of every possible.... they seem to really like aubergine i found yesterday. The other older ones are eating alot but just not growing. Im using liquid calcium in their spray water as well as in their dish and they all (the ones that have survived this long) seem healthy and active enough..... just hope they manage that for the rest of ther lives, even if they are a bit smaller than average. How is Tonka doing.... destroying the tank overnight and undermining all of your efforts to make them fantastic new hides...... (I'm not bitter) !?

he he he. They are great at bulldozing! I have to admit their flesh was one of the first things that struck me when we first got one. Photos dont do it justice, until i actually had one i dint realise how cool their skin was. Ive tried doing some close up shots of the skin but havent got a great photo yet.
