I've got some tinytiny little native snails that have just hatched - not sure what species as there's a few different natives in the tank, but they're REALLY tiny so probably from the trichia striolata. The problem is that the mama snail has laid them against the tank wall, behind a piece of capillary matting, with only a dusting of coir nearby. Because of this, I've got no idea how I can remove them to a smaller tub without damaging or squashing the tiny babies. They haven't come to the surface yet but they've been hatched for a few days so they'll be moving soon and I'm worried they'll disappear and be lost in the tank if I don't get them into a tub Anyone got any ideas how I can separate them from the tank without hurting them? I've thought about putting a tub over them and taping it in place to make sure they climb up into it and don't go elsewhere (and make sure no big snails come in for a look) but it's in an awkward position to do that.

When I`m dealing with tiny babies I use a plastic spoon or just a piece of something like folded card, and a watercolour paining brush. I gently brush them into the spoon/ folded card....

Hmmh.. Could it be worth of trying put some food in that corner for babies. When babies climb on food transfer then nother tank and repeat with new food till you saved them all.
