I could've sworn this had been discussed somewhere but I can't find it... this is one for the linguists among us When I post snails abroad I try and label them in both languages, but it's not always easy finding the right phrases, so perhaps people could post translations here of common phrases? Or equivalents, where appropriate. I'm thinking things like: Fragile Handle with care Urgent Live Contents Can anyone help? I hate resorting to online translation programs

I'm ashamed to say I'm useless with languages so I can't help. But what a brilliant idea!

In Finnish fragile = särkyvä/särkyvää Handle with care = Käsittele varoen Urgent = Kiireellinen/tärkeä Live Contents = Sisältää elävää [This one I recomend no one use! It's kind of illegal send anything live in Finnish post office so better just keep it normal looking packet, or they might distroy or something. Our laws are so old that you should be only be able sending something like leeches. ]Keep warm = Pidetään lämpimänä But no problems will be if packet is just something fragile marked and normal looking. So usually here just have to send snails in normal packet and not to tell in post office what is inside so they don't go mad.

In Spanish:
Fragile Frágil
Handle with care Manipular con cuidado
Urgent Urgente
Live Contents Contiene seres vivos (wouldn't advise putting that on though!!!!)
