so i checked my retic/jaditzi/margie sut tank. and there were some eggs however they were much more like C. marginela eggs with a leathery type coat (had they been in a tank with my C. marginella i would have thought that they were c marginella eggs). there were quite a few eggs nots 100s probably around 10 but i didnt want to disturb them too much. I guess with shells like that they are probably duff eggs, anyone else had this?
could they be infertile eggs that have been produced without mating?
i know soft eggs can be a sign of calcium deficiency (in chickens) it can't be a calcium deficiency for these guys though, these guys have pretty much every option open to them! cuttlefish. powedered oystershell and limestone flour on their food. blocks of oystershell powder, limestone flower, crushed oystershell, crushed egg shell and limstone grit with added vit D. (they're only a little spoilt)

I`ve had near translucent eggs hatch so they may well do. Are they C.Marginella sized then? If they are, that`s got to be the Retics or Jads hasn`t it. My Retics lay squashy buoncy see through eggs all over the place for a whil, then lay a decent clutch, I think they must be getting rid of duds or something along those lines....

yeh they'll be jaditzi or retic. plus both suts are quite small 1 in particular so i doubt they'd be up to much. i so hope its pre retic laying, calcifer has been looking interested for a long time. i'ld love baby retics ...dont tell but they're my favourite shusshhh ... ;D
